Legerclad is a Legerlite insulation made of Type II expanded polystyrene covered with a TYPAR air barrier. On top of its insulation value, Legerclad provides the protection of an air barrier that prevents air infiltration while allowing wall cavity humidity to escape. Legerclad is for use on exterior walls and conforms to National Building Code Standards and energy-saving building regulations (Règlement sur l’économie d’Énergie dans le bâtiment) when installed according to our guidelines. Legerclad is available in several standard sizes: 4’ x 8’ x 1’’ (R4.66); 1 1/2’’ (6.7); 2’’ (R8.6); or 4’ x 9’ 1’’ (R4.66); 1 1/2’’ (R6.7); and 2’’ (8.6) or according to client requirements.
